How to paint Tyranids, PJ style pt.1

Well, the third day on the store I tried to paint my Tyranids, I took them with me for a reason and the reason was that I have some kind of diorama in mind. And for that to be realized I need a ton of Tyranid Termagants, Hourmagaunts and Gargoyles. Well, the only 'nids I have with me are termagants with fleshborer/spinefists. They are allready primed white so I just need to paint them before I ship them home. I cannot have a hoard of gaunts while I travel around, thats why I send them home. But until now I have not sent any. I'm such a slowpoke.
Well, here I'll show u what I've been doing. it's not much but it's something.

Warhammer Independent Store: Mexico

Gamer's Den in Cancun

Hello!
I've been kinda all over the place this past few weeks so I have not been able to work with my stuff as much as I'd like, but here is the progress. My pistachio is drilled but I'm not so fond of the result, maybe I'll have to start over or maybe I'll paint it, that could be fun. On the Captain I have made some more progress. I was in Cancun last week and I found one of the few gaming places that sell GW products in Mexico, (well, in Cancun anyway) I've had a hard time finding these forgotten stores around Mexico, were the majority are located in Mexico City (fine job I did finding them). The name of the store is "Gamer's Den" and the reason I found this lonely store was because of a White Dwarf I bought in Tuxtla Gutierrez. (If you follow my other blogs, you'l know how I got hold of this magazine)

Captains and Pistachios

I've been traveling.
Jupp, I travel and I try to work with different miniatures when I got the time.
This time I was in Oxaca and thought it was a good time to proceed with Captain Ferrox in Terminator armour. I was supposed to paint, but I had to rectify the shoulder pads on the captain. I used some knee guards of a Dreadnough for the shoulder pads. Used green stuff to make it sit and some more green stuff to cover the holes of the "knee guard". I Had allready sanded it and painted the shoulders, but it wasn't good enough. I could see some inperfections.

Vindicator

Got to put this toghether.

ZeroZero. That's what I'll call the vindicator when I finnish him.
I wont be able to show you the end result of this vindicator because I won't be ready with it until I get back home. And that's gonna ba a long time. Anyway, I'll show u how far I have gone with it right now.
I bought this Old School vindicator on ebay. It was allready painted, but the painting was certainly done by a little kid. It was waaay to thick and the structure of the model was buyldt incorrectly. I could not work with it as it was so I had to strip it and take it apart.

Competition time! Two months ago I was competing at the Norwegian Fang competition. It was a painting competition for miniature painters like me.
I and kjell wanted to participate and so we found the rules and started painting.

Huge Bolter

As most of u guys know I went to Amsterdam a couple of weeks back. One of the things I did there was to visit the Games Workshop there. I've heard that it houses some of Europe's best miniature painters, many of whom has won great prizes including the Golden Demon.
